Nelson Mandela Day 2016

This Sunday, 17/07/2016 we were very happy to welcome Police Captain Collen and his team to support our charity. They brought along very much appreciated blankets and food. So really they put into reality what Nelson Mandela was preaching and helped the weakest in our society to get at least some comfort. Thank you all very much to have celebrated this special day with us. The children also warmly thank you and of course would love to see you again next year 🙂

A great Charity Day!

On 20th of June we successfully accomplished the Charity Fun Walk against Drugs and Drug Abuse. The kids were very enthusiastic and even more when even the Counsillor herself  marched together with us. With this good feedback we’ll be back next year again with the walk. Thanks a lot to everyone who made the Charity Day possible!

Charity Fun Walk against Drugs

The New Creation Breeders are marching against drugs and drug abuse on the 20th of June 2015. This weekend following Youth Day the welfare is focusing on how drugs are changing the life to the worse with children and adults and how kids can fight getting into drugs abuse.

The march will start at our premises in 106 Houghton Dr, Houghton Estate, Johannesburg at 10 am. Please join this march and support the kids with a donation of your choise for every 100m they do successfully until reaching the Paterson Park opposite Norwood Police Station. The walk is supported and approved by the city Councillor and the Metro Police and will take about 30min.

When the march is reaching its destination at the park, a surprise is awaiting all the participants and supporters who want to attend this great event! Furthermore, representatives of the Metro Police will tell about their daily fight against drug abusers and also a nurse will share her experience from what she sees at the hospital.

We are looking forward to seeing you all. Please feel free to bring your kids, pets, relatives, friends and work colleagues to this charity event. We would be pleased to get to know a lot of new faces. There is a playground too! So don’ t miss it!

Start Location: 106 Houghton Dr, Houghton Estate

Start time: 10 am

See the map below for further information. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions or if you would like to support the march in a way or another!

What happens with your clothes?

Every time our donors give us clothes, we give them to the kids from Alexandra and they are so overwhelmed by them! Have a look yourself how you can put a smile on everyone’s faces by sending them your clothes instead of throwing them away! Thanks so much to everyone who is supporting us!

Christmas Party at the Welfare

Now that the festive season is approaching quickly, we thought to give the kids another treat and to give them little packages with useful things they can use during the holidays: toothpaste, soap and face cloths should help. And what about a lollipop for a change?

Keeping warm in the cold season!

In July 2014 we received a well appreciated donation of blankets for the kids. They immediately snuggled up with their new gifts and couldn’t wait to use them when the cold breeze was running through their houses! Thanks so much for this really warmly welcomed gift!

Let’s get artsy

In 2011 we had a lovely outing with Ben the artist from Ghana. He showed the kids what they can create with very little means and get artsy themselves! See yourself what he achieved!
